Find Lasting Recovery at Renewal Lodge

Drug Rehab in the Longview, TX Area

It’s not a rehab. It’s a fresh start.

Lasting Freedom Starts Here

The only Mindfulness in Recovery (MIR)® Program in the Nation

Addiction has a complicated pathology because it is a disease, symptom, and catalyst–all at once. Substance use disorder often accompanies mental health and behavioral problems. As a coping mechanism, it can derail an individual’s emotional development, leaving them unprepared for sobriety.

Renewal Lodge is an inpatient rehab for Longview, TX, individuals suffering from addiction. We’re a dual-diagnosis facility, offering our patients treatment for substance use disorder and underlying mental health problems.

Each Renewal Lodge patient receives an individualized treatment plan designed to help them develop the skills and emotional awareness to get–and stay–sober. We accomplish this through mindfulness training and a program that connects patients to their core values again.

At our facility, mindfulness is interwoven with the 12 Steps to provide our clients with a solid foundation in sobriety while teaching them the skills they need to thrive in the world after leaving us.

Long-term recovery is possible. Renewal Lodge can help. Contact us today to schedule a consultation with a counselor to learn more about our program.

4 Steps To Lasting Recovery

Mindfulness In Recovery Treatment

Addiction often emerges as one of many coping mechanisms. After years of substance abuse, it often becomes a person’s only way to cope with mental health or behavioral problems.

This leaves newly sober individuals with very few ways to handle relationships, their feelings, and the curveballs that life inevitably throws at them.

Mindfulness can help you identify and name your feelings. With practice, you can even identify the emotional tenor of your mind.

It’s an incredibly valuable tool that, when intertwined with the 12 steps, is a powerful means of long-term recovery.

Family Program

Years of addiction have undoubtedly affected those closest to you. In early sobriety, your family can be your biggest support.

But relationships that have survived addiction can be fraught with dysfunction, codependency, and enabling behaviors.

The Family Program at Renewal Lodge has been designed to help you and your family understand the early stages of recovery.

This will allow them to provide you with the support you need while beginning their own recovery.

Emotional Intelligence

While mindfulness can help you identify your feelings, emotional intelligence can help you understand them–in yourself and others.

Newly sober individuals often have difficulty with self-awareness, healthy relationships, and boundaries.

Renewal Lodge emphasizes helping our patients develop emotional awareness, preparing them for successful lives after sobriety.

Discharge & Aftercare

A drug rehabilitation center is often the first step to sobriety. It’s far from the last, and certain individuals may need continued care after they complete our program.

During your stay at Renewal Lodge, our counselors and alumni program directors will work with you to find the past path forward for you after you’re discharged.

Whether that includes outpatient substance abuse programs or anything else you need, you’ll have a definite plan to help you maintain your sobriety.

Dear Renewal Lodge Visitors,

My name is John Bruna, co-founder of the Mindfulness in Recovery® Institute, and more importantly, a grateful member of the recovery community. I am incredibly fortunate to have found my recovery in 1984. Of course, I did not achieve continuous recovery through willpower or my own efforts, but through the guidance and caring support of countless others that selflessly taught me how to live through the 12 Steps.

My journey of recovery brought this once homeless, shame-based, traumatized, insecure young man to a life far beyond anything I could have ever imagined. I discovered self-worth, the joy of helping others, the gifts of parenting and grandparenting, and most importantly the ability to live a meaningful and purposeful life with integrity.

One of the greatest gifts of recovery is that I have the opportunity to give back and help others discover their self-worth, dignity, and the skills to fully live lives that they find truly meaningful. This is the inspiration for developing the skills of Mindfulness in Recovery® (MIR) to meet the needs of new generations struggling with alcohol and other substance use disorders. MIR is a set of evidence-based skills designed to help people fully integrate their tools of recovery in ways that are personalized, practical, and in alignment with their deepest values.

While we train counselors and therapists throughout the United States and abroad, I personally have chosen to work directly with the amazing team and clients at Renewal Lodge to develop the model MIR 12-step program for the nation. I choose Renewal Lodge because of the vision of its mission and the dedication of its team. Renewal Lodge is an extremely rare environment in which the staff embodies the very mindfulness and 12-step practices and skills they offer their clients. The results have been beyond my expectations. It is an honor to be here and I treasure my personal time with every client I meet.

With Gratitude,

John Bruna
